If I understand correctly you hear the flasher clicking when the turn signals are off. I have seen this a couple of times, and both times it was the switch. Others have also posted that they have had this problem and it turned out to be the switch. One of them posted that he solved his problem with a wrecking yard used switch for a lot less than the new switch.
