My cruise control is out. I have checked other posts and most say check the cable on the butterfly... done, that's not it. What fuse(s) are associated with the CC?

I just had the same thing happen on my '96 gl. I checked the fuses (#12 under the hood and #30 under the dash) buy neither one of them were bad. I am thinking on checking vacuum hoses and/or modulators next.

f12-in engine compartment fuse box, However the horn, hazard flasher, anti-theft all on the fuse.
If those are good ouch. The speed control module power goes thru the clockspring on the steering wheel twice. Up to the speed control on/off switch and back thru clockspring to the speed control module. Power also feeds thru the horn relay then goes to the steering wheel.
Depending if ATX or MTX Fuse 23 signal thru Park/neutral to the speed control module, which if went open would tell the module cars in park or neutral. Also fuse 24 feeds thru brake switch and also the stop switch and (if MTX) feeds voltage to clutch switch giving module status.
Sound easy until you try and find all these test points vs what the print shows.

I just happen to have a copy of a schematic from Mitchell's manual, I can e-mail you?

Check the fuses first and if they are ok, try to find a Ford diognostic manual. I got my 95 Mystique and the cruise control didn't work. Didn't think about checking the fuses but ran down the procedture to check the unit/switches and such. I ended up taking the unti out of my fathers car to conferm that the unit worked. I ended up getting a unit from a wreck. I think that car was a 99 so there is no problem there. In fact the windstar and at least the 95 Lincoln continental use the same unit, just different brackets.
