Hello Everyone, Just got back from a muffler shop here in town that I really like. Wanted them to put SVT exhaust on my 98 SE. The guy told me he would not suggest it nor would he do it becasue it looked like the fuel filter was in the way of the pipe that would come around that passenger side of the gas tank. He claimed that the contour was not set up for this. Well thats bullsh*@ because I know alot of people have done this but I am just curiouse if there is something I am missing about getting it put on. I was pondering doing it my self but the mufflers are not attached to the rest of the unit so I would have to take it somewhere to get those welded on anyway. Would really appreciate any suggestions or idea regarding this. Thanks so much. Chad

Go somewhere else and then make sure you go back and show the first guy that it works. The fuel filter is in exactly the same place on the SVT as the non-SVT. Probably the Zetec, too. Did he listen when (if) you told him that many people have done this mod?

Buy the needed parts from Bill Jenkins or your local dealer (pretty cheap) and do it yourself (or with a buddy) . I've done it several times ... it's easy as heck ! Save the install money for "cocktails" after the install !!
