I was two years old when the challenger exploded. I was on CEG when the Columbia exploded! Didn't even know until noon that anything happened, my cable is out so I just gave up on the TV...

I was 3, so my guess is I was at home, probably watching Sesame Street or something.

Horrible day.

Who is Mrs. McGaughlin? Do you mean Christa McAuliffe, the first school teacher in space?

Sitting on the floor in the living room, playing with my toys...oblivious to the whole thing until I noticed my mom crying on the couch...

4th grade, Hanover Highlands Elementary School in Hanover Park, IL. Our class was watching it live in the library. The school librarian was one of the finalists to be the teacher chosen to go on the mission.

Christ dear, you read that wrong, he said he was in school with his teacher, Mrs. McGlauglin, watching it, McAuliffe was on the shuttle.
As fr me, I was in 8th grade, but was at the Arts & Cfrats center on base with a friend making a ceramic dog, that I still have to this day. I was in England at the time, which explains why u all were in school, but I wasn't.

No Mrs. Furby, if you read what he said, he said he was watching it with his teacher who was good friends with Mrs. McGaughlin, not that his teacher was Mrs. McGaughlin.

I was trying to ask him if he meant that his teacher with good friends with Christa McAuliffe and typo'd the last name.
