I have an amp and cap that need to be grounded. my question is, can they both be grounded to the same spot or is that a bad thing? ive heard u can and ive heard u cant. i would like to hear other opinions about it. would i run into any problems grounding them to the same place??

No problem at all, just make sure to (this is going to scare some guys around here) completely scrap away all paint of your grounding point untill you can actually see the metal, this will prevent engine noises.

How ever engine noises may be caused by several reasons.

Not going to scare anyone here.

Ground loops are caused by multiple grounds.. If you are going to ground them seperately, then make sure to keep your grounds as short as possible, and file away to the bare metal, as stated earlier.. Here's hoping..

1.5 should be fine. Make sure it is very tightly ground, and bare metal. Don't run your ground wire parallel to any power wires, or any wires with high signals.

Have fun, too..
