Anyone try Bosche's O2 sensors? Supposedly they've got something specail that makes them 15% better than others (according to their marketing).

When I got one through Bill Jenkins, the Motorcraft box had "Made in Japan" label on it. Leads me to believe that OEM is NGK.

Autozone.com only lists one kind of O2 sensor for the 95's. Are the two O2 sensors in the 95's the same part?

IIRC, the 95s don't have the downstream O2 sensors, just 1 (4-banger) or 2 (V6) upstream sensors. I can't think of any reason, other than wire insulation color, why the two would be different.

Yup, 95 O2 sensors (V6) are both the same and are located before the pre-cats. IIRC when I replaced them, the wire insulation colors were the same. (white, white, gray, black) The aftermarket replacements were the same part # and exactly the same. Thanks to all the posts & advice from all CEG'rs,I just purchased & installed both upper & lower Bosch sensors on my 96 zetec(140,000mi) Ford wanted around $120.00 per sensor.....since the Bosch's were about half the price at my local Advance Auto store, I asked the dealership if they would install them too at 120 bucks each...He laughed and said I should use the Motorcraft sensors and then I laughed. The car is running as smooth as when I bought it & I am getting around 32 miles per gallon. That top sensor was a real ***** to get out. Be careful.Buy the Bosch's!

Does anyone have a "How To" on this? It would be a great add-on to this site since some of you guys seem to be doing this anyways. With nearly 140k on my 95 V6, I'm sure I'll need to do it soon as well. Just noticed a new CEL, and wouldn't be surprised if that was the culprit.
Thanks, Zack
