I'm an omnnivore and couldn't possibly imagine not eating red meat. I love it and honestly believe I would be as sick as a dog if I stopped eating it.

The fact that you have to eat about 20lbs of spinach to equal 1lb of red meat's protein isn't too appetizing to me.

I love salad and veggies of all sorts as well, and could not live without those either, but not eating meat ot meat related products is insane, IMHO. Who wants to pop a bazillion pills and eat all sorts of laboratory produced powders and suplements in order to make up for a what a good steak offers?

I agree that we have a longer than desirable digestive tract which is why you shouldn't overcook your meat. Anything more than "medium" is asking for trouble. The meat when overcooked, makes it so hard for you body to digest, that it actualy rots in your digestive tract - not good! Might as well eat a firkkin shoe, cos it'll digest about the same...

Me, I like my steaks rare , and I only eat them like that in reputable establishments or when I cook it. So I know I am not getting some rotted steak. I've never gotten sick from eating meat like this.

Vegetarians make me laugh, but vegans are just plain nuts.

But that's my opinion, so don't take it the wrong way.

There's no one more opinionated than a vegetarian or vegan - funny that!
