The exhaust would not even hang as low as the sideskirts or front bumper. If the pipe were even touched either the front bumper, sideskirts or both would already be gone.
Also there are 3 layers between the fuel cell and the piping with the outter one being re-enforced ABS shielding. (to protect from crashes!)
Also I ran the F-body setup for over a year and it hung about 2" lower than his setup will and I never bottomed it out once.
I'm not worried. Saving those 4 90 degree bends and 60+ inches (each pipe) is well worth it performance wise! 
Besides at least 2 people have been running that setup for quite some time with no problems.
