Considering my 1st Contour Purchase

I'm looking for a basic comuter car and today I saw a pretty little 98 Contour SE very clean only 50K varified by Carfax.com report.
Clean title like brand new. 2.0L 4 cl.
I dont need a race car so this seems like a good car to get to work in every day. Fully loaded $4,900.
Any observation you may have are valued.

everybody needs a race car!

Go for it, makes a nice commute car if that's what you want it for. I own a 96 v6 and a SVT, the SVT is most enjoyable but my 96 offers a comfortable ride here and there and still a pleasure to drive.

The only experience I have with the Zetec engines are in the Focus' but like I said before you'll be happy with it as long as it's your commute car.

I have a 99 Mystique GS. It has the zetec engine. The zetec is a good strong 4banger. I installed an intake and 9mm ford racing wires, and awaiting an SVT exhaust. I drive it daily and it goes when you need it to and runs smooth.

Zetec owners have had less engine probs than us Duratec guys. This based on the Troubleshooting forums.
