That sucks Allen. Try calling SVT and see if they'll send a rep out instead of going through the normal customer care line.

There's got to be a trustworthy dealer in PA somewhere!! Well, you could always try one of the dealers down here that us local guys trust, but that's kind of a haul.

Yeah, I've been running in the deep pocket short arm syndrome myself lately. I guess I won't have all the neat upgrades for my 3L I thought I would when I begun this project. Oh well. frown

Hi,
I have the same problem with the transmission in my 99 SVT. Same symptoms, same response from two different dealers. I have had the new synthetic "honey" colored fluid installed, as recommended by Ford, but with no real improvement.

What I'd like to know is, what tests can and should be performed to isolate a potential synchro problem? Is it okay to let this go until failure, or will that create even more problems?

I've had this problem since day 1 of ownership (I bought the car new w/ 35 miles on it), but have about 65K miles on it now. When the thing warms up, it works pretty well most of the time.

Thanks,
Matt Weaver
