I have Pioneer Premiere 6x9s 3-ways all around. I did it that way because I used to depend on them for the bass. I've now added an 8" Apline sub to the rear deck, so I changed the configuration a bit. I used the amp's crossovers to only run highs to the front 6x9s, and then bridged the rear channel for the sub and run the lows to it. Then I let the Kenwood headunit run the rear speakers...kind of a filler, if you will. I really like the way it sounds, but if I had it all to do again, I would do components.
