When you take your old one off, flip it over and flex it into a u-shape. If it has a miriad of miniture cracks on each of the v's, it's time to replace.

$10? Where can I sign up? Every place I checked here was >= $25! The local dealer wanted $36, and I talked him down to $25, but still didn't buy. I got one from Bill Jenkins for $22 or something like that.
