Purely bench racing, I think it would be a drivers race. I see no problem getting a stock V6 5 spd(newer 190 horse ones
) into the low 15's with a good driver. Most SVT's on this site run low 15's. That is pretty close, with a slight edge to the SVT.
Even if the V6 doesn't have a LSD, it still has a huge traction advantage due to the laws of physics (weight transfer). Come to think of it, An SVT doesn't have an LSD either.
I hold to my guns that it would be a close race.
Warmonger, not calling BS on you but you must be racing some pretty lame GT's...or drivers. The new GT's stock run about 14 flat, 14.4 w/ auto. My freind has an auto with I/E and he runs 14.2-14.3.
