My sentiments exactly TheContourGuy.

laugh

If you insist, yes in my opinion I don't think its fair for others.

Hey look as far as new guys go- if you don't like the way the game is played, stay on the sidelines.........

I do, however, think it is interesting that this rhetoric is coming from relatively new people. Were any of you picked on when you came to site- don't answer contourguy- you are picked on almost constantly so I can understand your frustration.

I, personally don't find any post painful, except for ones that have signatures with 16+ lines in them about driving schools.

See what I mean about post counts. THEY MEAN NOTHING.

Thanks Monkey, this thread needed that laugh

You can't fight it....it's been tried, and it was a losing battle.

I think we should give you your own forum, cause you're clearly above us all.

Boys, Boys, Boys.....

Can't we all, just get along ???

Don't ever think that you know it all,
because one day someone will prove to you that you don't.

It is ok to agree to disagree, but do it in PMs not on the forums.

I work in a very highly vulnerable position, where 90% of my job is educating the consumers about the products we make.
For the last 8 years I have been answering the question...

"Can you tell me what the difference is between A and B, and how that is different than C?"
And, "Which of these products is the BEST?"

I've NEVER once told them, "Why don't you just READ the boxes and found out for yourself ?"
or, "The product you need is over in one of those aisles, look for it yourself."
Just because it is my job to educate and assist the consumer, doesn't mean that when I'm off duty, I should treat people any differently.

I have been flown many miles, to spend many days, at many Trade Shows, to answer the same questions, often hundreds of times a day.
Many of those times a person would come to me and ask a question. As this person stood there and I began to answer his question, another person would get in line behind him. As I answered the person's question, the second person, with the exact same question, mind you, feels it is more important to spend his time being distracted, from what is going on right in front of him, than to pay attention to what is being told to the person in front of him.
If he was just a little interested in what was being spoken to the person in front of him, he would of had his questions answered and not had to ask me the exact same question, that I just answered, for the person before him.

If you have been here long enough, that reading the same questions over and over again disturbs you, you have forgotten where YOU started from.

We all were once that same person who came to a web site, BRAND NEW, and did not know how to navigate the site, and simply wrote a question, expecting someone to respond with an idea or two, that *might* help us determine what we were doing wrong, or where we need to look for things.

With the same energy you spend in ANGER, you could write a few posts to direct someone where they need to go, or maybe even write an INTRODUCTION to the site, that maps out how the site is organized and where things can be located.
This may HELP to reduce the number of questions, or at least place the questions in the CORRECT forums.

If this is the aide that you SEEK, then that aide only comes from YOU making the FIRST STEP.
If it upsets you so much that NEW MEMBERS cannot navigate this forum, DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE NEW MEMBERS, just as YOU wished you had when you first came to this site, and stop whining to the rest of us, about a problem that only exists in YOUR EYES.

eek

Really? What were the primary reasons changes cannot be implemented?

Everyone keeps talking about how I am sooo above everyone and know everything and am acting high and mighty...

I don't recall ever asserting any of those things.

Do a search on my member number and find the places where I have been so evil, where I have refused to help people out, where I have flamed someone for not using search.

Go ahead and look for it- oh wait a minute- that would require using the search button- something you find so inherently troubling.

Plus I think it is more audacious for a bunch of people who have been on the boards for an average time of two months (some exclusions)to start spouting off about what is good for the group.

Talk about full of yourselves...

You don't even have an established stake in the group and already you're talking about changing things and calling people all sort of names.

As has been said before:

"Hi kettle, this is pot..."

I'm out...
