Well, I am coming up on 100,000 miles, and my dealer has a huge list of things to do to my car. I thought i could knock down some of the cost by doing a few things on the list by myself. I was able to change the air in my tires ($14.50), replace my Cabin Air Filter ($55 - Thanks for the How-To, Ray... RIP), and bleed my brakes ($69). They want to change my halogen fluid, though, and it sounds like it would be easy to do, but I can't find the resevoir. I would love to save the $35 and do it myself. Any ideas?

wink

halogen fluid doesn't need to get changed until 150k. make sure you change your muffler bearings though, they're supposed to be done at 60k.

How could 2 smart car guys like yourselves forget about changing your blinker fluid at 100,000 miles! I hope you can do it yourself though, cause it would be an expensive fix bringing it to the dealer! (about $100 last time I asked them about it) wink -Nick

I knew they were tacking stuff onto that list that did not need to be done.

...And it figures that Ford would make the halogen fluid and the blinker fluid different. Sheesh, just another way for them to nickel and dime you to death.

I am going to rotate my door speakers like they recommended, but I haven't got to it just yet. I think I can handle that one (and save me $79)
