Are you saying that the method that I outlined does indeed work? For me, it was merely theory for the CD4E as it differs greatly from the 4R55E and 5R55E found in the Explorer, but the theory is sound and I believe that it SHOULD work, but have no proof. From my prior postings in this thread, hopefully all can agree that I can not afford to A) destroy my own transmission trying something that I THINK MAY WORK and B) ignore the current situation and allow the thing to go south on it's own over time. It seems that if someone can show 10 reasons why something works, someone else can show 15 why it doesn't.
Has anyone used this method successfully? What about a similar method? Please give details!!
