I have taken my Contour to Jiffy Lube every 20-25K for the trans flush (3 times so far). I have over 70K miles on my car and I beat the hell out of the car. Just a few months ago I installed a trans cooler and the car hasn't ran better. I race, and constantly push my car so I can't understand all the problems some of the other members have with their trans.
Maybe you can't baby your car that much.
