I've never seen or heard that the temp sensor or guage was wired in with the door alarm? (I'll check a wiring diagram tonight...) Mine never dinged or beeped when my WP died. I don't think the beeping (dinging?) is related to the engine temp either....

Doubt it's the door jamb switch wiring as that would cause interior lights to come on. Possibly an internal fault with timer module, but that's a pricey part to change on spec. If you knew someone with a Contique you could arrange temp swap and see if fault follows module.

if your temperature gauge is near red you have a problem with either overheating, or the temp sensor, either way I think you should make sure you aren't cooking your car befor you worry about the beeping.
EDIT. have you replaced your thermostat? if the temp gauge reads high but doesn't actually overheat it may be caused by a thermostat that's rated at a higher temp than your car requires.

Are all your warning indicators working? When you first start the car, all the lights will come on and you can verify their operation. Check for the airbag light specifically. If that light is burnt out, the car will beep instead. Just a thought...

EXCELLENT idea, Louis...
Check your dash when you start..
I too, concur..
(Edit: It COULD be the doorjamb.. my lights don't come on when I open my door.. Then again, I have them manually turned off, instead of 12sec, or on..)
Just.. possible, is all.. lol

Well then, I went to the dealer where I bought the car and the told me it beeps because when the car was in the accident he air bags deployed... and the car currently has no air bags.. *its noticable... and i guess it beeps because of the air bags being missing, thats what he told me..? Is this BS or true guys?

Can't believe a dealer is allowed to sell car with faulty airbag system without at least informing buyer. Also why is the air bag warning light not coming on (and staying on)when you start car? That's the time you would think audible warning would start. Perhaps dealer disconnected warning light. If both bags deployed and are missing you might as well pull/disconnect air bag monitor in dash and get rid of beeping. Beeping should be a series of 5 beeps, I believe.

Something tells me that a licensed dealer selling a car of that model year w/o airbags is illegal. AFAIK, by 1996, they were required equipment on all cars sold in the US. It's akin to selling a car without seatbelts.
I'd give the dealer an offer they can't refuse: "Install airbags for free or I'm calling the state's Attorney General's office."
