I did do it myself. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be.
Be sure to disconnect the battery first.
Then remove the airbag assembly, there are two hex screws on the back of the steering wheel that hold the airbag in place. Then remove the steering wheel itself, you will need a 15mm socket to do this. Once the wheel is off there is the clock spring. You would also need a torq wrench to torq the steering wheel bolt on. You might also want to invest is a Haynes manual to help out with other problems, I have found this manual to be very helpful.
