I've always heard that these doors were referred to as "scissor" doors.

As far as suicide doors, four-door Thunderbirds from '67-'71 had these style doors. The new Rolls-Royce Phantom will have them too.

By the way, I've heard an old-timer remark that suicide doors and women with short skirts make for interesting viewing.
