If the E1 wheel was 49mm I would have had no problems with my 18 x 7.5" wheels with a 42mm offset.

The stock E1 wheel is stamped with 49.5mm, if I get over to where my race tires are stored today I'll take a picture for you.
And yes you still would have a problem with your 18x7.5's. Think about it, if the stock 6.5" wheel has a 49.5mm, a 7" wheel should be right around 43mm offset to keep the inner dimensions about the same, so a 7.5" wheel whould need something about 37mm or so.
So let me get this straight:
You say the E1 6.5" (165.1mm) wide wheel has a 49.5mm offset. That would put 132.05mm inside the hub and 33.05mm outside the hub.
And My 7.5" (190.5mm) Alba Blaze rims have a 42mm offset which would put 137.25mm inside the hub and 53.25 outside the hub.
Therefore I could make do with a 5mm spacer. (137.25mm - 132.05 mm = 5.2mm) Is that correct?
Take a look at my photos in the, "Help: My Tires Self-Destructed" thread. It looks like a heck of a lot more than 5mm has been ground off the edge of my tire. I know diameter hasn't come into play because the stock 215/50x16 KDW's were 24.3" in diameter and the 225/35x18 S-03's also measure 24.3".
I'm so freakin' confused...
