Right below where the rubber accordian hose connects to the T/B there is a mount down there. It looks like it's right above the Tranny. Is this a motor mount or a tranny mount? The reason for asking is that mine comes right out! Looks like the bolt is snapped in 1/2. Also, how much $ are we looking at to replace it??? Thanks! **Also, the part is cylindrical in shape, has holes in it, is made out of rubber and is about 4'' long, by 3'' in diameter. I'm thinking this is a tranny mount???

That is the trans mount, the center bolt is prone to breaking,usually get loose first ...new mount req.......

You can replace the bolt with a new grade 8 or higher one from Home Depot. Requires mount removal to do so. Most failures I've seen have been because of wheel hop... Bob, have you been doing bad things to your SVT??? :rolleyes:

Sorry, just replying with what I have in mine. Solid motor mounts and all, with all grade 8 hardware for over a year now...
EDIT Solid mounts other than that one I should say. The driver's side is still the factory mount with a grade 8 bolt in it as Mumm Bros didn't have a tubular unit made for that side yet. The roll restrictors and the passenger's side mount are solid square and round tubular steel custom units.

Nah, I haven't been doing too much bad to it. however, I bought it used, and it seemed like something was loose up front when I bought it, Just got worse, found that mount was broken. So you say a grade *8 bolt can be put inside the rubber piece that I have? How so? Sorry, I don't know much about tranny mounts... thanks bnoon and T-Haines.... also, how much $?

but the dealer a pair of broken transmission mounts on my car a little over 200 to replace while installing trans
95 contour se...dark blue...monsterflow air filter...remanuf atx...wiring harness recall or bust!!!96k miles...motorcraft awsf32pp plugs & red ford racing 9mm wires...kvr black plated cross-drilled rotors & carbon fiber pads...currently undergoing renovation...excuse our dust!!!
are my dodgers for real????
