I have done this only because I put holes in the inner drivers side boot while replacing the bearings. It is one tough job! I couldn't find a split boot, but ford sells a kit(about 100.00 bucks) and it includes not only the boot but various clips and the 2 clamps you will need. These 2 clamps each take a different type pliers to close them. It also includes 3 new bearings for on the 3 sectored gizmo that goes into the hub. Also you almost need to take the whole axle out and on a bench to do it right. You also need the Helms Ford book on Contour, chiltons and haines will lead you astray on this fix.
