Hey there.

We are considering a move to Florida. Just sick of the long NE winters and such. The kids have asthma and could benefit as well. Any input is appreciated.

It would be cool to tinker with the toys outside year round.

Tristen -- I used to live in a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale, called Cooper City. I grew up down there and wish I could move back. But family commitments have me stationed here for a while longer. Southern FL is developing like crazy. The Cuban population is very prominent and in many cases, very wealthy. But for $300k you can get a mansion compared to the crap that we live in up here. University of Miami is one of the largest employers and Coral Gables is just beautiful (albeit more expensive).

Jon Vitolo would be a better person to talk to since he currently lives down there. But these are just my impressions.
