I had rubbing where the fender meets the rear bumper - there's a "lip" that's about 2 1/2~3 inches long that was cutting into my tires over bumps and big dips, and heavy loads.

This is what I did:
- jack up car
- remove wheel
- remove fender liner
- detach bumper
- use Dremel to cut off "lip"
- clean
- touch up paint

No more rubbing. You can hammer the lip back, but I cut the fenders, just to be sure.

I also had some rubbing from the fender lip, so I also trimmed off the entire fender lip with a dremel using the same process above.

Good luck.
