Someone backed into my car the other day and did enough damage to require some body/paint work.

I live in Fairfax VA, and would like to know where I can get this fix properly and not rob the guy blind who backed into me.

Any advice would be appreciated. If I don't get any feedback I will prolly end up taking it to Century Ford in Rockville so they can fix it while they are replacing my dashboard and removing the moose that is trapped under the hood.

Well it's not in DC but up here in Stephen City Robbies Auto Body does great work at a reasonable price, but he is always backed up about a week or 2 so be prepared to wait if you go to him. Trust me you will like the end result if you do, he is excellent.

Avoid Brown's Lincoln-Mercury.
Pohanka Body Shop is alright.

Washington Consumer's Checkbook recommends:
Auto Body of Vienna
Autohaus (Herndon)
Baily's Crossroads Auto Body
Craftsman Auto Body (Chantilly)
First Choice Body Shop (Arlington)
NT Auto Body (Alexandria)
Suburban Auto Body (Fairfax)

Hope that helps!

Craftsman Autobody in Sterling gets my vote. They seemed to be more helpful than the one in Chantilly, and have a better set-up up there.

Russ-
Where in FFX are you. I'm right off Braddock and I think I saw you on the way in to work today.

Yep, that was probably me. I live just off Commonwealth. I'm on Braddock all the time. I've seen a view SVTs in the area. I know there is a green one around, but the most memorable was a black with an NRA license plate. What color is your E0?

Academy Ford (I think that's what it's called) in Laurel did a good job on my car. They're on US Rt 1, across from Marlo (if Marlo is still there, been a 3 or 4 years since I've been in the area), a few miles south of the mall.

Kip Killoman's is Scary...when I was looking for my SVT I went there first and the guy that was trying to sell me the car looked like a real guido and would not take no for an answer....

They kept calling me the entire week lowering the price...after thinking it over I should have gone through them as they went as low as 19,500 for a Red/Tan SVT...ended up getting ass blasted by Koons ford of Falls Church for 19,900 for a Black Midnight Blue model and a ridiculous finiance charge....

should have held out as I know Koons would have dropped the price, however there had just been someone else looking at the car that I got so I was worried it would be gone by the time I wanted it. Wish that I had held out for Silver.
