magnet's not going anywhere, man. magnets dont get weaker or stronger. maybe the problem with the speakers is that its getting too loose? thats been known to ruin many a good thing

actually, magnets will lose their strength over time. But surrounds, cones, spiders, etc will wear out well before a magnet loses it's strength

Yes they get "old", within time they will pass away  BUT, This might sound odd; try cleaning them if the voice coil is in good shape this will help SQ especially for the tweeters and midrange.
