Engine/Tranny: SVT V6/MTX Ehaust mod: SHM long tube headers -> Edelbrock -> Bassani Cost/Installation Charge: SHM longtube headers - $1200 Edelbrock muffler - $100 Bassani - $600 Install - $400 Opinion: No rasp or drone thanks to the Edelbrock. Sounds pretty good - should sound better when I go true duals.

1995 Contour w/ no rear muffler. Supposedly sounds like a bong! LOL! I like my exhaust loud, sooo... center resonator will be removed. The cheapest thing I've done to this car is the exhaust. 20 bucks altogether. I get quite a few compliments.
Orange City, FL 1995 Contour GL, Zetec, 5spd., Otto Racing Bomb Racing Muffler, V-Racing Aluminum Wing, PCP Intake w/ Adapter, Spinner Hubcaps (yes, really.) Hopefully, new rims soon!

This will be GREAT!! But this thread has been around for some time now & I have not seen any links to a sound clip database or web page.
Obviously, there will be separate listings for I-4 & V-6 cars. Would it be a waste of time to further delineate single Vs dual exhaust exit categories?
I also suggest that we standardize the recording location (6" behind the driver side tail light) so all clips can be compared directly.
So, any collection of files yet?
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

UPDATE: Possibly the final exhaust mod for this zetec. SVT Exhaust w/ stock resonator and rear mufflers replaced with straight pipe. IMO fairly quiet, no rasp and cannot be heard over the CTA intake. I give it a thumbs up, looks nice too.
