Yup, positive it's not ice. There was not spin feeling from the wheels, it just didn't want to move anywhere. The revs were coming but the momentum wasn't there. There were a few times I spun my wheels on snow/slush/ice but they have a unique feeling that is easy to spot.
I'm used to the ice, much prefer it to snow to be honest. I've had lots of experience driving on ice back in England. Have one thing to say though about snow, lots of fun in a slide, although way harder to control. Not doing that one on the roads !!
I'm still getting the knocking, but my tank's still on full !! Had the gas since Monday morning and the needle's hardly moved. I'm real impressed about that because it's 91 O, but not because that damned knocking persists. It's only coming intermittently now though, say 20% of the time compared to all the time. Also only appears somewhere between 4 and 6k when it does, not the 2-2.5k that it was before. I'm hoping this idea I was told about it being water is right.
