I've has the same experience with the PF c/m brakes. The first stop of the day is an adventure if I don't warm them up first. I have also had a few hair raising experiences when travelling on the freeway extended distances and brakes cool down, then someone does something stupid in front of me. For about 1-2 seconds, it feels like there are no brakes . I just about push the pedal through the floor, the the pads warm up and stop. On the plus side, I have never had them fade, but here in Florida, I have trouble finding any situations that really stress the brakes. (Dead flat and almost all roads are straight lines. )

At the same time I put the PF CM on my car, I put the ceramic brakes mentioned above on my wife's car. They perfom as advertised. Low dusting, very quiet.

I am thinking of putting the ceramics on my car before I hit someone when the brakes are cold. Also, I like the low dusting of the ceramics.

I paid about $60 for the fronts. And they really work very well. Noise is gone, and 90 percent of the dust, too. I highly recommend them, if you can find them. I got mine from a local CarQuest auto parts. Good luck!
