I use Krylon,s Crystal Clear Acrylic. (1301 part no.) Spray/coat liberally all parts, after they are clean, grease free, neutralized. Couple coats or three. Should be good for all year or even longer. I've used this method for over 15 years now.
I use this on all my antenna, grounds automotive or around the house. I usually do this when I first get a new car to all connections, mainly because of all the salt on our roads in the winter. It seals out moisture and doesn't attract dirt. Any electrical connection benefits from no corrision for many reasons.
