I was able to stop leakage around my positive post, which was causing a lot of corrosion. It would soak a felt washer in a few days. I cleaned real well and carefully applied a good layer of silicone adhesive/sealer. Didn't know if it would stand up to the acid OR even seal, but it has done both perfectly. I check it often, because of the risk to those expensive cables/terminals.
