You should try to talk Bosal into making headers for the Contour. Preferably, headers that are emissions compliant without any M-I-L eliminators. I think they would sell well if priced in between the overpriced SHM headers and the MSDS headers. I would volunteer my car for test fitting!!

The Probe V6 headers will not work, totaly different engine, as far as making headers for the SVT,it would take to much time & money to make such a limited run. It would also be expensive.

I would like to know what the I.D. of the pipes are. If they are 2.5", they would be perfect for the turbo setup, or even supercharged.
If the Bosal system is 2.5", you can count on my purchase.

just want to make sure. This is a $500.00 exhaust system 2.25 all stainless & replaces everythig from the cat back. Gee I didn't think it would be this hard to do a test fit.
I was hoping it would be 2.5 also. Do you know the weight of this system vs. the stock svt?

Stan, I made a mistake, the res & intermediate pipe are 2.5" diam then after it y's off to the 2 rear mufflers it goes down to 2.125". The system weighs around 40lbs.

The headers would fit other Contours as well, not just SVTs.
This exhaust should bolt right up to an SE also. I've got an SVT Exhaust hanging on my SE SPort, and all I needed was the Right Rear Muffler Hanger. There are plenty of other Contour Owners who would buy your exhaust kit, Y pipe, Headers, and high flow cat, if you made them matching.

sounds good, looks real nice in the pics. I still have not put on my headers that i bought about 3 and half months ago.The two combined would give a nice increase in power that i need.I need to think about getting this system. Stan

The Y pipe would have to exit at 2.5" dia, to connect to a 2.5" IN-OUT Hi Flow Cat, but off the headers, I don't think it should be bigger than 2.125 - 2.25". Any bigger and you may lose necessary backpressure.
The trick is to get the "Y" just right, so that the two pipes aren't CRUSHED together like FORD's Y pipe is.
