frenchblueC2_dup1 Smurfette F Joined: May 2001 Posts: 8,770 Manchester, NH	I just attempted yanking off the rotors from my Cougar today. 22,000 miles, it has been driven through only one winter, the car is barely 2 years old and the rotors were rusted solid to the hubs. we never got the first one off so never attempted to take any of the others off. I'm totaly pissed. we put an assload of silikroil to try and loosen things up but it didn't help. I bought new Mintex pads before I put the Cougar away for the winter, so I had the bright idea of having the rotors sent out to be machined while the Cougar sits(since it has been recommended to me countless times to get the rotors machined with new brakes). I honestly don't know how anyone will be able to remove these suckers without having to trash them completely. Kim 1995 Contour GL Needs less "needs more"

If they are that f'ed up and rusted, you can count on buying new rotors, as the effort of removing themn alone will trash them to a poin that turning them won't salvage them.
