From Motor Trend Car of the Year 2003:

Honda Accord Cpe V6 6.44 14.5@99.06
Honda Civic SI 7.69 15.7@88.58
Hyundai Tib GT V6 7.39 15.37@90.47
Mazda 6 V6 7.16 15.23@94.58
Mercury Maurader 7.75 15.59@93.45
Mini Cooper S 7.11 15.3@91.78
Pontiac Vibe GT 7.56 15.75@90.47

Cadillac CTS 8.01 15.82@89.71
Saab 9-3t Linear 7.51 15.6@92.02

I get the impresssion that the days of "surprising" someone at a light with a low 15 second sedan are gone!

May die in the stright...but not in the turns.....trust me...the SRT-4 sucks in the turns because of the suspension is designed to get the best quater mile time in the stright away....Thus sacraficing turning ability....you screw with the suspension on one of those then the SVT's will be cable to catch up in the strights. But not sure how much till someone tries.....

All these test where conducted buy professional drivers. These guys launch
cars for a living. If you put Joe blow driver behind any of those cars
you can add a hole second to the time... From what's been posted, it's not
uncommon for a contour to hit low 15's and high 14's..

ED Black E0, 3L Hybrid. Long time ago... It was fast. real fast...

Low 15's pretty common - 14's are pretty exclusive!

I wouldn't expect the Neon to handle bad at all either, look what they could do with the ACR on 14" tires! That car was a terror of the Auto-X for a while.

Stats on the SRT-4:
Handling
Lateral Grip (200-ft. skidpad): 0.85g
Slalom (700-ft. six cone): 69.0 mph

69 MPH in the slalom is going to KICK contour @ss - sorry, it's cheaper, faster and handles better. Looks will not be mentioned

Qoute from sport compact car:
"That means the SRT-4 runs head to head with the new Nissan 350Z and the Subaru WRX, while leaving the new Mini Cooper S and the Acura RSX Type-S in the dust."
