I pulled the throttle body and cleaned it but havent had a chance to do lim uim. Can that account for such a large difference?! I knew something was wrong with my car.... but nobody offered help in troubleshooting. The previous owner was an old man an probably rarely got on it, would this cause enough clogging to give me the problems i've been experiencing?

Ps i do have exhaust.

Old plugs and wires can take away performance, If there older then a year change them.
It also wouldn't hurt to change your fuel filter. I just changed mine, and the
car feels like it drives better. I don't know if you have a Open element filter
or not, but it would be a good idea to clean it of replace it.

In addition to helping me out with my problem, ive heard many times about the fuel filter killing hp, but out of curiousity how exactly does this hinder performance?
As far as i know, plugs and wires have 57k on them, i pulled a plug not too long ago, and it didnt seem as if it was worn: it had a grey coating and the gap seemed intact. I can think of a million things wrong, cats/precats clogged, plugs, wires, fuel filter... i cant afford to go on a spending witch hunt.

This question is probably better left to the experts, but ill try to answer it anyways . I think that the fuel filter gets clogged over time, and doesnt let as much fuel get to the engine. When there is less fuel than normal in the engine, you lose horsepower. Lets hope im right

I just changed my plug wires and man you can feel the difference right away!! I use to have the same problem at high RPMs of the car not wanting to run, but now DANG LOOK OUT!! Oh yea BTW my car only had 44000 miles on it

The best way to check if you wires are bad is to go to a very dark place, turn your car on, then see it there's blue archs jumping throughout your wires. If, so you're loosing spark juice through those archs

My fuel Filter was changed as part of the 60K tune up, but they asked me beforehand and told me it should be changed.

#1 thing for serious power loss on the contour V6 is stuck or inoperative secondary throttle blades, also known as the IMRC. It's easy enough to check if you know where to look besides the feel of it kicking-in in first gear.
Fuel filters cause power loss because of the pressure drop. Lower pressure on the injectors means less fuel per squirt, etc.
