95, zetec, mtx, 100 K miles. Vibration in the front of the car, mainly when accelerating or using the engine as a brake. When I really push it hard, it shakes like crazy in the 3k - 6 k range. Slight vibration below 3k, and almost none below 2k. If I gradually accelerate, I can drive at any rpm, with no vibration. If I rev the engine in neutral, no vibration.

When I give it anywhere close to WOT, in 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear, in the 3K-6k range, bad vibration in the steering wheel, floor pan, and dash. If I downshift, and use the engine as a brake, it vibrates for about 3 seconds, and then it is smooth.

Basically, it shakes when I'm accelerating, and it shakes when I'm using the engine as a brake. It's like it vibrates as the rpms increase, either from giving it gas or downshifting.

Struts, driveaxles, ball joints, front rotors, front and rear motor mounts, wheel bearings, tires, rims are basically new. So are the plugs, plug wires, fuel filter. I've cleaned the MAF, IAC, and IAT. The timing belt and serpentine belt appear to be good, just looking at them. Sure hope somebody out there has an idea of what's going on.
