Hello, folks! I enjoy lurking your board. Many knowledgable people here. Wondering if anybody knows (God aside) why my car hasn't started for a week. Here's the specifics. TIA!

Patient:
1999 V6 MTX Cougar
return-type fuel delivery
50,000 mi

Symptoms:
Engine turns-over but does not "catch".

History:
Catalytic converter replaced 7/01 due to internal rattling.
Transmission replaced 7/01 due to "exploding".
Bad alternator bearing.
Bad HO2S11 sensor. "P1131 Lean Condition - Lack of Switching" CEL since 11/01.
Passed emissions 11/01.
[Purchased, by me 1/02. Am I a sucker or what?]
Failed emissions 1/02.
HO2S11 replaced 1/02.

Analysis:
Reaks of gas after attempting to start. [Pedal not pumped before/during start.]
Spark is delivered. [Friend got shocked holding the plug wire to the manifold while I attempted start.]
Fuel-pump is active/alive. [Heard hum of pump while attempting start.]
