Well, if you lose becase of a traction problem, then you don't have the best car. Simple as that.

Get some good tires and practice, practice, practice. I have no trouble putting down 2.2x 60' times (2.201 best) on RE-730s. And yes, that is traction limited.

Well if he wants to learn to launch on snow tires he's crazy then!

I'm saying he needs better tires then the ones he listed. I wasn't even thinking snow tires because that idea was moot! (or so I thought)

Hehe, only time I ever went to the track I had bald snow tires on, it was kinda fun. Had a decent tiem for no launch, no clue what I was doing and having the boom box in the back.

Its also a good way to abuse your clutch. It would help, but it might be too much gear and be just as slow as spinning. If you have a performance clutch you might give it a try, but dont make a habit of it.

I'll launch it for you... I got a 2.297 60 foot time on my best drag run on rain tires (Michelin Rain Force tires) with very very little wheel spin - ftp://cssvids.gotdns.com/scott.mpg My dad has an airplane and I could fly up there
