I was considering replacing the front stock motor mount with the performance urethane motor mount... My reasoniing for considering this is because I think this might be one of the factors that contributed to my 2 failed Differentials in less than 8 mounths.... I was just wondring if some of u guys could tell me some of the pros and cons of doing this and how hard is the install and how much time could one expect to spend replacing it!!! Maybe even a step by step if any of u have a few extra minutes!!! Thanks in advance

It is an insert that is used most of the time, and I think it helps a lot. It reduced the wheel hop I had a tremendous amount. I am going to fill the back mount pretty soon and recheck the front.
The front mount is easy enough, just some bolts to undo and redo.

Usually, you do not need to replace the whole motor mount unless it is broken. Just put in new polyurethane motor mount inserts. Energy suspension makes these and you can get them from SP Motorsports, CTA Motorsports, etc.

Exactly.
While you are at it fill you other mounts with windshield urethane.

Is this the same for the rear motor mount as well? the rubber in mine is shot and I was going to just replace the whole mount! But $20 for a set of inserts sounds better than $80 for a new mount all together!

Well I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to motor mounts, but wouldn't you need to get the motor off the old mounts to replace them with new ones? And that I wouldn't be able to do without the proper equipment.
So how much do the full urethane mounts decrease wheel hop by?
Also where exactly are the motor mounts located under the hood?
