you GOTTA mention which infinity subs ya got. there are 3 current lines of subs by infinity, with a bunch of older versions of the kappa subs. then there was the budget sub about 5 years ago that had some graphite-injected poly cone. ok, i'm goin a bit overboard here you get the idea. also: - will the box be ported or sealed?
- what size/tuning?
- What amp?

its 2 infinity reference 12s, each in a sealed 1.25' enclosure, and the amp is jvc
i may be selling my car in a few months though and then i would be unsure about what im doing with my stereo, wheather upgrading, selling or keeping it, so i dont really want to spend a ton, i just think the added power might keep things sounding punchier when i turn it up
also if anyone thinks i would be better off with a 1 sub system, go ahead and give suggestions, i may end up trying to do that in the longrun, selling things off and replacing, etc
thanks guys!

Any amplifier will be fine as long as you get one rated higher than your subwoofer, giving you headroom. Remember, underpowering a speaker will cause far more damamge than overpowering it. I have 46 PHDs and a trophy from my kid saying "worlds greatest dad"" so I think I would know. (he he, dynamite has been laid, now to make my escape...)

i seriously need to get used to honkeytonkmonkey's posts. until i re-read it carfully, i thought he WAS saying that underpowering subs is bad lol.... then you were talking about your awards and whatnot... funny!
sound_contour, when i asked what amp u got, i meant as in make/model#. or easier yet, is it 2-channel, 4-channel, or monoblock?

JBL BP600.1 It'll put out 600w at 2ohms or 1ohm (300w to each sub). (Yes, it is 1ohm stable - varified by the manual on the JBL website)
