here's some pics of my mondeo... i asked the question a few weeks ago if ppl think its worth importing and i figured posting some pics would help

http://www.fototime.com/ftweb/bin/ft.dll/pictures?userid={6ABCA0CD-EC0A-4D06-AD4B-A2CF24497377}&tio=0

the lower valance is from Blue Oval Tuning... everyone else has either the rs kit or a combat kit and i think this is different w/o going ott... i know what you're gonna say, "sideskirts" but the roads over here are really bad and i worry about them being a hiding place for rot to grow, besides, i think it looks smooth and kind of reminds me of the btcc mondeo.
let me know what you guys think!!

yes, its mine... i'm in the air force stationed in the uk right now but i have orders to moutain home afb, idaho in apr. the af will import the car for me but i need to make it importable, ie, 5 mph bumper, safety glass, dot approved tires, emmision, ect... i asked in the general forum a few weeks ago about this and got about a 50/50 split and some good info about what it will take to import it. i haven't really had a chance to make the phone calls about what a mondeo will require plus i'm still debating with myself...

hmmmmmm military site

These were the first 2 sites that came up under google. I hope they help in some way or another. I just searched for "importing cars" us regulations. If not i'm sorry to have lead you on a while goose chase.

I think it is surely worht it to bring it over and i think you should stop into SD long enough to let me test drive the DeMon.:D If you have really enjoyed the car and have had no problems with it, there is no real reason to get rid of her/him.

oh, its served me very well... it was originally a company car and had 135k miles when i got it two years ago. i got an awesome deal on it, have only put 10k on it since but i drive it pretty hard. only had to replace the 02 sensor and i will be putting it into the garage the end of this month for some preventive maintenance and servicing. i've had no real problems. i plan on doing lots of traveling when i get back stateside so i don't see stopping in sd as a real problem
