When it comes time to replace my waterpump, I'll be using the Ford replacement pump w/ white impeller. Hell, that may even be what's on my car now, as nobody knows for sure when Ford started putting the white impellar pumps on from the factory.
I just don't think going to a metal impellar is the answer. Sure you get a bullitproof pump, but what sh!t (that would normally smash a plastic impellar) could you possibly end up circulating through your cooling system. At least when the plastic impellar goes, you know RIGHT AWAY. I'll stick with the redesigned pump.
