I've got a '95 2.5L V6 with 70K miles...have enjoyed it very much till lately. Had to have transmission replaced last month($2600 but Ford paid half because it was under 75K miles)...I need to have the idle air control valve replaced (because it has that moosing/stalling problem at low RPMs after the car has run for a bit...a REAL problem in rush hour traffic)...the engine light came on last week...Ford diagnosed vacuum hose leaks and fixed it (said it was covered by a warranty ?!) but still had a $100 deductible. But I also have a sound coming from the right front wheel well that sounds intermittently like the tire is rubbing against something (which it is not...did have that checked). It is very noticeable in long turns, like off of an interstate cloverleaf. Might it be the macpherson strut? or engine mount? or carriage spring? I can't reproduce the sound by pushing down on that corner of the hood while the car is stationary. Any thoughts?
