I think you guys are confused about changing to Ztec gears. It isn't going to make the car eaiser to launch it won't make it quicker, and it sure isn't going to be eaiser on parts. Even with the added power of the 3L or FI you will have to slip the clutch more for quick launch or the tires will spin just like with the stock gearing only faster and further. It will be harder on parts because the weight of the car is the same as before but now has less gear to help get it moving. If you want to keep from spining put better tires on and work on tuning the suspension. If I was going to make my car into a dedicated drag car I would be looking to use lower gears so it could be quicker off the line and use all of 4th gear instead of just shifting into 4th.
