You're going to be looking at that amount if you replace it before it breaks anyway. So why not just have some fun and break some stuff before you shell out the same money for the aftermartet stuff?
In theory I agree with you AirKnight, but I did that exact same thing to my tranny (only with my street tires on). It really doesn't end up being a lot of fun when you have to have your 'Tour towed 162 miles back home. Granted if I would have planned to break something (which it seems I never do) it might have gone a little smoother. Oh, but boy oh boy was it fun to fork out $2755 for the tranny!
