if there is a ticking that is pretty fast coming from the passenger side of your vehicle in the engine compartment, it is probably your timing belt.

It's not the fuel injectors - I use a bottel of cleaner with every oil change.

The ticking becomes more rapid with increased throttle.

I can't narrow down which side it's coming from, but it's loudest from the front lower with the hood closed than the wheel wells.

Guess it must be a belt.

i had a 98 styque before my svt, and i had the same ticking, and it was the alt pully, but my serp belt was also shot.....

Fuel injectors make noise because they turn on and off every other crank revolution, not because they are dirty.
