Isn't it odd that my car, 98 Contour V6 ATX, Has an oval LX emblem on the body but the papers say GL? Whats the difference? Thanks, John

IIRC, Ford just relabeled them to line up with how they were using the letters on other models. Pure marketing. I saw an internal letter that still referenced them by the old letters, but specifically updated just the stickers.
