i havent got a noticeable kick on mine. yeah u get the most torque at around 3-4k, but deffo no kick for me.

Ok so after reading all this maybe "kick" isn't the best term to use. With that in mind... I still say that right at 3500rpms, that there is a considerable difference in the amount of pull and power, like a sudden burst of energy. and no... nos is NOT involved... hehe

I feel a distinct little kick there too. I thought maybe it was the tranny switching on the torque converter lock, but your superchip (I think) uses the lock a lot more of the time than the stock tranny program does, so that would be different on your car than on mine, which is not yet bechipped. Guess it's just some oddity of the engine's powerband.

I have a kick now as well since I reset the crank/cams. Kick added - stuttering removed!!

Isn't that "kick" just when vct turn on? vct is activated at 3k rpms though... and thats where i feel it... dunno if thats the same thing though

From what I heard the VCT is under deceleration, not during wide open throttle.
