Is it possible to make a "Kamelion" type mix of the stock Ford "Pacific Green" and a promounced Black? The obvious answer is yes but would a custom shop be able to do such a thing or would I have to make a special request (custom order) to a manufacturer such as House of Kolors or PPG?

Also, how many coats of this special mix would be required to make the finish look as deep and shiny as possible. Same goes for the Clear Coat.

Thanks in advance!

You can pick from the existing colors from House Of Kolors. The way they make that paint is pretty complicated, so custom colors is HIGHLY doubtful. Have you checked how much the paint is???? I'll bet that once you find out what it costs you'll find other options. It also has to be sprayed over a black base coat(?BC-10 or 25?) to look right. For how expensive the kameleon paint is, it'd be almost insane to do it 1/2 a$$ed. But I'd go check out some paint chips of House Of Kolors and Du Pont kameleon type paints, maybe there is on that comes close to what you're looking for. Du Pont has dropped their prices on their "kameleon" type of paint line to steal business away from HOK. I should have this copied so I can just paste the phrase......Go to your local auto body supply shop and ask them about what is available.

You may just want to go straight to a paint supply shop. Most body shops have no clue what is available on the market. They usually stick to production work and not custom jobs and aren't always up to date with what is going on in the custom market.

Hey when you find all the details tell me, cause I want to do something similair except with yellow and orange, I have a sketch of what it would look like, but the real thing will look so much better.
